Bankhead is a neighborhood located just west of downtown Atlanta. Once a booming suburb of Atlanta in the 1950-1970’s, it felt a sharp decline along with other westside Atlanta neighborhoods from the 1980’s through the housing bust of the late 2000’s. A neglected part of Atlanta now has eager eyes on it as the Westside continues to blossom. Just north of Bankhead, the Marietta Street Artery has already become the westside’s affluent retail and restaurant district with more plans on the way. Between the Beltline paths and Westside Quarry Park opening soon, Bankhead is one of the last intown neighborhoods with unrenovated pricing points below 100k but not for long. Architectural styles include: Craftsman, Tudor, cottage, Ranch. New construction townhomes are currently going up in the $400k range. Easy access to Interstate and intown, just minutes from the Stadium and Philips Arena.
