Located on the eastside of Atlanta, Ormewood Park is located just east of Grant Park, south of Reynoldstown and west of East Atlanta. Although Ormewood Park was originally developed in 1892, the first period of growth for this charming neighborhood was just after World War I as prefabricated and catalog homes were built (many still standing today). The second boom was after World War II which added wood siding cottages and mid-century ranches in between the older Victorian and craftsman style homes. The last two decades have added mini-McMansions, modern and traditional styles as well as townhomes. Local parks include the Ormewood Dog Park and Glenwood Park and annual Ormewood Park Makers Festival is always a popular choice.
