Known for its historic Craftsman bungalows and Victorian mansions, Grant Park is home to historic Oakland Cemetery, Zoo Atlanta and its own 131 acre namesake park, Grant Park, which is the oldest city park in Atlanta. The neighborhood, Grant Park is one of the most important historical districts in Atlanta and is bordered by Cabbagetown on the north, Ormewood Park to the east, Boulevard Heights and Chosewood Park to the south and Summerhill to the west. It is the architecture that makes Grant Park so unique. Along with Inman Park, Grant Park offers the largest remaining area of Victorian architecture within the city of Atlanta. Built between 1880-1920’s, the Victorian mansions face the park while modified Queen Anne, Craftsman bungalows and cottages complete the neighborhood. Annual festivals include Grant Park Summer Shade Festival.
